Our dedicated volunteers are the heart of TSP. The more than 75 people who comprise our choir are ambassadors for our work. Without their melodious voices, we would be known by few.
There are many, many individuals – we call them our family – who have donated time and talents to keep the organization going by selling CDs, designing programs, copying music, coordinating events, and raising money. To all of you whose acts of kindness and unselfish giving are unnamed, we thank you for your continued support.
Harold Fields, Music Librarian
As the Music Librarian, Harold manages the inventory of songs used by the organization and keeps the choir members current with the music and supplies needed for rehearsals and performances.
Harold Fields has over 30 years of project management in the high tech world of software development and the travel industry. His professional career includes IBM, Frontier Airlines, United Airlines, and Galileo International. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University. Harold currently serves on the board of directors for the Victim Offender Reconciliation Project (VORP), and is the facilitator for the monthly race dialog at The Tattered Cover Bookstore.
Harold says that the spirituals are part of his musical heritage since he was a youth. "It is important for me to preserve and share this 'soul food' because it has nourished my family and shown the resilience and determination of my people."
