Sponsoring Concerts Featuring Internationally Prominent Artists
Programs of concerts featuring nationally prominent artists began with concerts in 2001 and 2002 featuring Seattle baritone Anthony Brown, followed in 2003 by a concert of spirituals featuring The Three Generations, a trio of internationally acclaimed artists (Kenneth Overton, Robert Sims, George Shirley). In collaboration with Augustana Arts and other community agencies, TSP now has established an annual concert series to highlight the work of prominent artists who are working to keep the spirituals tradition alive. The next program in the series is a concert by the National Spiritual Ensemble on May 15, 2004.
