A priority of TSP is outreach to children and youth, whose immersion in the spirituals story is central to the mission of ensuring that “the spirituals will be passed on for many generations to come.” TSP has forged collaborations with The Jubilation Singers and other child and youth choral ensembles. Outreach projects have included workshops for high school students through the Colorado Youth at Risk Project; an appearance of TSP Choir at the Shaka Franklin Foundation for Youth annual luncheon; and workshops in local churches and schools.
